EASTLAND – Sharon Kay Harbin Lewis passed from this life into eternity on January 4, 2018 peacefully at her home with her husband and children by her side. Services for Sharon will be at 10 am Monday, January 8th at the Daugherty Street Church of Christ, 309 Daugherty St. in Eastland. A visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday at Edwards Funeral Home at 411 S. Mulberry in Eastland. Burial will follow at the Flatwood Cemetery.
Sharon was born November 8, 1948 to Lee Alton (Jeff) Harbin and Imogene Harris Harbin in Ranger, Texas. She graduated from Eastland High School in 1967 and recently celebrated her 50th class reunion with her classmates. She worked for Eastland ISD for 24 years, retiring in 2004. After retirement she did some home health work and also worked for Meals on Wheels.
Sharon loved the outdoors. She liked gardening both flowers and vegetables, yard work and loved animals, especially cats and chickens. But the thing she loved the most was her family. She had five grandsons and loved watching them play ball, driving many miles each year trying to divide time between the two families to watch them play.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mike Lewis of the home, two children; son Lee Lewis and wife Dana of Cisco and daughter Kori Stuard and husband Daryl of Bremond, five grandsons; Mathew Stuard and wife Breezy of Conroe, Logan Lewis and wife Amber of Austin, Hunter Stuard of Cisco, Cord Lewis of College Station and Kellan Stuard of Bremond, two great-granddaughters, Authum and Audry of Conroe. She is also survived by four sisters; Suzanne Magin and husband Johnny of Stephenville, Mary Jane Helms and husband Tim of Mansfield, Sheryl Palmer and husband Larry of Ohio and Monica Henderson and husband Kevin of Cisco and many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Jean Harbin and a brother, Robert Harbin.
