Sharon Gail Montgomery

Sharon Gail Montgomery, beloved mother and grandmother, passed peacefully from this life on December 6, 2015, in Abilene, Texas.

Sharon was born September 21, 1957, in Brady, Texas, to L.C. and Dolores James. She grew up mostly in Eastland County, always keeping her family close. She attended Eastland High School and completed her education efforts by graduating from Texas State Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Management Technology / Accounting Systems Specialist. Sharon also had a talent and love for sewing and learning more of her Native American heritage.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother; her brother, Edward Wayne James; and her sister, Rita Dianne Barton.

She is survived by her three daughters - Kristina Rheingans, Valerie Thomas, and Virgina Martin; two nephews, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland on Tuesday December 8 from 6-8 pm. Memorial Service will be Wednesday, December 9 at 1 pm at the family estate on FM 570 in Eastland. Contact a family member for directions or call Edwards Funeral Home at 254-629-2611.
