She moved from Santo to Lockney, Texas, during her 8th grade year where she graduated from high school. She played basketball and loved to watch the Cisco College girls’ basketball team play; she made friends with many of the players who kept in touch with her when they left Cisco College. She also had many friends at Cisco College where she worked for a total of 30 years—for 10 years she and Dan lived and worked at one of the dorms as dorm supervisor, but during that time she also worked in the cafeteria. They lived in Lockney, Amarillo, Iowa Park (twice), Gilmer, Birmingham, Alabama, Nashville, Tennessee, Cisco, Albany (for 8 years), and presently Cisco. Dan was employed with Conoco Petroleum Company for many years.
