Gordon – Shirley D. Henry, 79, of Gordon passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn. Graveside service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at North Cemetery in Santo, Texas. Arrangements made under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home, Strawn, TX.
Shirley was born July 24, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to Seburne B. and Irene Smith Davis. Shirley lived at Palo Pinto Lake and owned Shirley’s Bait and Tackle Shop for 27 years, she also waitressed at the Bar B Truck stop. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include 2 sons; Alfred Jones and Joey Akins, sister, Ethel Davis, 3 grandchildren; Clifford Jones, April Shaffer, and Perry Jones, plus a host of other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Kelsey Davis, and 2 sisters; Betty Combs and Dorothy Stelle.
