Sonja Guthrie

Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister and Grandmother. Born January 20,1941 to Walter and Pearl Price (deceased) in Putnam, Texas. Sonja went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 3, 2013. She married Billy Jack Guthrie in Abilene, Texas, May 27, 1956. Sonja was a member of Victory Assembly. Sonja loved her family like no other. She loved sitting on her beautiful porch in Eastland that her and her husband Bill built themselves surrounded by her flowers that she hand planted in the company of her cousin, Margie Hendricks.

She had seven brothers, Walter Price Jr.( deceased), Franklin Dee Price (deceased), Robert Price (deceased), Dale Price (deceased), Jimmy Mack Price of Seminole, Texas, Rodney Price (deceased), and Homer Price of Cleveland, Texas. She had two sisters, Glenda Link (husband Vance) of Apex, North Carolina and Sherree McGrew (husband Mike) of Abilene, Texas. She had five beautiful daughters, Diane Blaylock of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donna Bronson (husband Dave) of Salt Lake City, Utah and Tonja Maholick (husband John) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Raney Azada of Atlanta, Georgia, Wendy Davis (husband Kendall) of Poteau, Oklahoma. She had two sons, Mark Guthrie (wife Sherry) of Jacksonville, Texas, John Guthrie (wife Kathy) of Hackett, Arkansas. She had eight grand daughters, McKayla Marchant, Haley Maholick, Lisa Loughmiller, Brandy Davis, Kayla Davis, Misty Cloud, Tracy Olcott and Kayla Gillenwater. She had ten grandsons, Ray and Ricky Blaylock, Joshua and Casey Marchant, William, Charlie and Eric Guthrie, Darin, Jarett and Brad Davis; and numerous great grandchildren.

Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the Victory Assembly Church in Cisco. Burial followed in the Potosi Cemetery.
