Sophie J.Townsend passed from this life Tuesday March 3, 2015. Services will be a Visitation 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Friday 2:00 P.M. New Hope Cemetery.
Sophie was born February 4, 1932 in Tyrone New York to John Rukat and Albina Kominski Rukat. She loved to sew, read and take care of her garden.
She is survived by three daughters; Dale (Nowak) Hopkins and husband Joe, Tammy Townsend-Heahn and husband Lynn, and Candy Beyer and husband Eddie. Eight grandchildren; Barbara, Cheyenne Williams Jr., Shelby, Canyon, Caleb, Tonya, and Tamra. Four Great grandchildren Tempreance, Paisley, Ryland and Lincoln, and one sister Rose Stanco.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nelson Sr. and son Nelson Jr. her parents and one sister.
