Stephen Reed Carter, 70, passed from this life to the next on Sunday, November 22, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Stephen Reed Carter was born on December 13, 1949 in Cisco to Silas Emanuel and Melba Ruth (Reed) Carter. He worked as a plumber, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Carter attended the Leon River Cowboy Church, and enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, and collecting.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Brown; sister, Minta Jean Carter-McCoy and husband, James; brothers, Joe Carter and wife, Bobbie and Tim Carter; and his best friend, Richard Hill.
Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents.
