Stephen “Sandy” Stringer passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022.
Sandy was born October 25, 1944, and had been a resident of Gordon, Texas, for the past 77 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Guided by a creative mind and a daredevil spirit, Sandy lived life by his own rules. He will be remembered for the countless projects that kept him busy thinking, tinkering, and engineering over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar “Doc” and Donileti Stringer; brother, Kynn Stringer; and sister, Phil Logan.
Survivors include his son, Koby Stringer of Lewisville, Texas; nieces, Cindy Stringer of Ranger, Texas, and Marleigh Meisner of New York; nephew, Shane Logan of Weatherford, Texas; extended family; and many friends.
Donations to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, and American Cancer Society are welcomed.
In lieu of a traditional service, family and friends are encouraged to sip Dr. Pepper or Milwaukee’s Best while listening to “The Party’s Over” by Willie Nelson, a song Sandy often sang when it was time to call it a night.
