Terry Joe Barrett
March 26, 1965 — April 7, 2021
On April 7th, 2021, Terry Joe Barrett, 56, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed away on the farm in Rising Star, Texas doing what he loved most.
Psalm 23…. The Lord is my shepherd…. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.
Terry was born in Sherman, Texas on March 26, 1965. He graduated from S&S High School. He was deeply involved in both the 4-H and FFA programs. He loved mentoring kids and teaching them about raising and showing animals.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Adreanna Barrett of Caddo Mills, TX; sister Darla Daley (Keith) of Douglass, KS; sister Vikki Smith of Derby, KS; sister-in-law Victoria Barrett of Windthorst, TX; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Mary Ann Barrett; his brother Dale Barrett (Victoria).
A celebration of life will be held at the ranch in Rising Star on Sunday, April 11th, 2021 at 2pm. All who can make it are invited to join us.
An additional celebration of life will be held at The Quest Church (6107 IH-30E, Royce City, TX 75189 from 6-8 pm on Monday, April 12th, 2021. All who can make it are invited to join us.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be directed toward your local 4-H or FFA club in Terry’s memory. He would be honored.
