Terry Don Warren

Terry Don Warren passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1938, to HD Warren and Alberta Pryor in Eastland, Texas. Terry was a 1956 graduate of Eastland High School, and afterwards served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. He married Nellie Sue Vinson on August 24, 1963, in Ranger, Texas. He was employed by Harbison-Fischer Manufacturing Company for 41 years, retiring in 2003 as the company’s Regional Sales Manager. Terry spent most of his career in Sundown, Texas, where their son, Ryder, and daughter, Amber, were born. Terry was involved in various leadership roles associated with Sundown ISD, serving as a member of the SISD Board Trustees and as a leader of the athletic booster club for many years. Terry and Nellie lived in Odessa and in Abilene before retiring to The Ranch near Scranton, Texas, where they enjoyed a long retirement with their children and their grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers – HD, Bobby, and Benny, and three sisters – Faye Rainey, Marge Butler, and Nelda McDuffey. He leaves behind his wife, Nellie, son and daughter-in-law, Ryder and Jill Warren of Justin, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Kirk Hinson, of Levelland, Texas, and four grandchildren who were his pride and joy – Chance Hinson of Levelland, Texas, Joshua Warren of Justin, Texas, Taylor Ann Warren of College Station, Texas, and Boomer Warren of Abilene, Texas.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2022 at Merriman Cemetery.
