Thomas Dale Parsons

February 18, 1932 — November 2, 2018

Thomas “Dale” Parsons, 86, formerly of Mingus, went to his heavenly home Thursday, November 2, 2018. A graveside service for Dale will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Mt. Marion Cemetery in Strawn. A time for family and friends to gather will be from 11 – 12:30 before the service at Edwards Funeral Home, 215 E. Housley, Strawn, TX.
Dale was born February 18, 1932 in Thurber, TX to Thomas Woodrow and Lillian Kyle Parsons. He was a graduate of Gordon High School. He married Jacqueline Layne on September 6, 1952 at the Mingus Baptist Church and spent the next 66 years by her side. Shortly after his marriage he joined the US Army and served during in the Korean War from 1952 until 1954.
He worked for General Dynamics in Manufacturing and for 20 years with the City of Hurst until retirement. He was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas.
He was survived by his loving wife Jacqueline, sons; Kirk Parsons and wife Rhonda, and Craig Parsons, Grandchildren; Morgan & Andrew, Amber & J.T., John and 1 great grandchild, Camden.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
