With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Thomas James Stevens (32) of Gorman, TX. Born on May 7, 1992, in Mineral Wells, TX, Thomas journeyed through life with a spirit of kindness, dedication, and love that touched all who knew him. His untimely departure on November 21, 2024, leaves a void in the lives of his loved ones.
Thomas graduated from Ranger High School and went on to further his education at Ranger Jr. College, earning an Associate's degree. A devoted husband, he exchanged vows with his beloved wife Megan (Vernon) Stevens on May 12, 2017, in Eastland, TX. Their union was a testament to unwavering love and partnership.
Among his many passions, Thomas found solace and joy in tending to his garden and taking care of his yard. His green thumb was a source of pride, and the beauty he nurtured bloomed as a reflection of his gentle soul. Thomas attended Eastland Kingdom Builders Fellowship, his faith was an integral part of his life, guiding him in all endeavors.
A committed father to his son Behr Stevens, Thomas cherished every moment spent together, particularly relishing fishing excursions and bonding over shared interests. An esteemed lineman, he approached his work with diligence, providing for his family with unwavering dedication and integrity.
Thomas will forever be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother, and friend. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Memorial services to honor Thomas James Stevens will be held at a later date, where family, friends, and colleagues will gather to pay their respects and celebrate his life. In these difficult times, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Thomas and draw strength from the love he shared so abundantly. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland, TX.
Survivors include his wife, Megan Stevens; a son, Behr Stevens; mother, Michele (Smith) McNicholas; brother, Stanley Stevens; mother-in-law, Amy Shong; father-in-law, Christopher Vernon; aunt, Karen Stevens and cousins, Bobby Stevens and Shelbi Stevens.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Stevens.
