Tommy Joe Martin, 61, of Granbury went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on May 15, 2013, along with his mother-in-law Ann Davis, who he loved like a mother. Graveside Services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Brock Cemetery in Brock, Texas. There will be a full memorial service as soon as Tommy's loving wife is released from the hospital and strong enough to be a part of. Tommy was born March 21, 1952 in Abilene TX. He was a beloved brother, a devoted father and grandfather, and an irreplaceable husband. He graduated from Roosevelt high school in Lubbock TX in 1970. After graduation Tommy moved to Odessa TX to work in the oilfield. There he met Elizabeth Ann Davis ("Betsy") and they were married on Oct. 6, 1973 in Odessa, Texas. Tommy and Betsy raised two sons, Eddie and Chris, who were his pride and joy. He and Betsy were thrilled to have daughters join their family when Eddie married Tommi and Chris married Julia. Tommy was a wonderful Paw Paw to Eddie and Tommi's three children, Ashton Derek and Kaden. Tommy is also survived by siblings; Barbara Moyers of Cooper TX, Linda and TJ Walker of Arlington TX., Kay Sharp of Spring TX., Jim and Betty Martin of Buffalo, WY., Rickey Martin of Lubbock, TX., Tony "Gene" Sharp of Burke Burnet, TX., and Michael and HuiSuk Sharp of Fayettville, NC, brother/sister in laws, Jim and Sherry Davis of Ackerman Mississippi, John and Suzy Davis of Odessa, TX., Carrie and Ronnie Swain of Monahans Texas, Randy and Becky Davis of Georgetown, TX, and David and Kelly Davis of Odessa, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews from all over. He will now be with those who have preceded him in death ; his daughter, Joy Lynn Martin, Parents, Loveta Dell (Ewing) Sharp and Edward Grandvell Martin, and father in law, Ronald "Jack" Davis.
