Tommy Rose, 74 of Eastland, passed away Saturday December 14, 2019 in Ft. Worth. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Leon Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Eastland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home Tuesday, 6~8 p.m.
Tommy was born July 5, 1945 in National City, CA to Douglas Fonzo Rose and Delores Castello (Norton) Rose. He married Margaret Jesse on August 14, 1965 in Eastland. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2012. He was also preceded by a daughter, Tammy Lea Rose on April 10, 1996. He was a Pressman for Victor Cornelius for over 45 years.
Tommy loved boats, and motorcycles as well as fishing and hunting, and watching nature in the outdoors. He was well-known for being a “prankster” and loved a good joke. He was a member of BACA, Eastland Bass Club, Eastland Rifle and Pistol Club, and Eastland Volunteer Fire Department. He had been a member at Mangum Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, and Lake Leon Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Terry Rose and wife Kati; 2 brothers, Dean Rose and Don Rose; and 3 grandsons, Michael Lucasey Rose, Austin Cole Rose, and Preston Lee Rose.
