Velma Louise Cazee Smith entered into Glory on January 17, 2014. Visitation was held at Bakker Funeral Home, Sunday, January 19, from 5-7 pm. Graveside service and burial was Monday, January 20th at 10 am in the Eastland City Cemetery, Eastland, Texas, with the Reverend Randy Lawson of Weatherford officiating under the direction of Bakker Funeral Home in Eastland.

Louise was born to George and Velma Cazee, October 6, 1921, along with her twin sister. They were the oldest of 7 children.

As a devout Christian, loving mother, sister, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, this love and devotion also carried over to her profession as a nurse at the San Antonio Downtown Baptist Hospital, as well as private duty nursing.

She will be eternally loved and remembered by her husband, Barney, of 74 years; 3 daughters, Brenda, Patricia Dianne, and Julia; Son-in-law, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Oretha and Alice, and 1 brother, George, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Smith, sisters, Vernelle and Mabel, and brother, Clarence, brothers-in law and sisters-in-law.
