Vicente Gallegos Sr.

Vicente Gallegos, Sr, 96 of Strawn, passed away Thursday December 15, 2016 in Breckenridge. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Opal Guest Chapel in Strawn. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Marion Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Strawn.
Mr. Gallegos was born August 26, 1920 in Mexico to Nemecio Gallegos and Tomasa (Villa) Gallegos. He married Blasa Coronada in Mexico. She preceded him in death in 1985. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Strawn, and he was a rancher.
Survivors include two sons, Vicente Gallegos, Jr. and Abraham Gallegos both of Strawn; a daughter, Celia Pena of Eastland; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
