Vickie Diane Seymour, 61 of Olden, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 3rd, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger.
Vickie was born July 15, 1957 in Ft. Worth, TX to Joe Ray Morrison and JoAnn (Killman) Morrison. She grew up in Hurst where she graduated from L.D. Bell High School, Class of 1975. She worked as the traffic manager for 26 years at Marconi Communications. In 1989, she married Robert, her “#1”, as she always called him.
Vickie was so proud of their little piece of paradise her and Robert retired to. They both worked hard for it all their lives. She loved her pets, especially Dooby (her “Little Booger”). After retiring to Eastland, Vickie loved to volunteer at the Veterans Memorial Park in Ranger. She cooked, served, cleaned and kept everyone entertained. Vickie was always more than willing to give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She was a big kid at heart and quick witted. She never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. Friends and family joked that she had a memory like an elephant. She never forgot a birthday. For that matter, she never forgot any date, time or conversation. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, hunting, boating and going to the coast. She always seemed to catch the biggest fish and win the jackpot. Her big smile and heart will be missed.
Five foot 2, blonde and blue. I’ll miss you, Blondie.
She was preceded in death by Father Joe Ray Morrison and nephew Ricky Morrison.
