Virginia Winchester Martin

Virginia Winchester Martin, 69, of Eastland went home to be with the Lord and her loving husband, Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 29th at the Eastland First Baptist Church.
Virginia was born June 21, 1950 to Worthey Winchester and Geraldine Higdon Winchester in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She married Loyd Ray Martin February 14, 1997 and they spent 21 years loving each other until he passed away on May 14, 2018. Virginia was a loving, kind, and caring woman; whom served the Lord and loved spending time with her ladies at the First Baptist Church of Eastland. She also did not meet a stranger, that wasn’t welcomed with the same kind spirit she had with her friends. All that knew her loved her and will miss her deeply.
Virginia is survived by a brother, John David Cleveland and wife Edie; sisters, Annette Robertson and Martha Lou Walker; numerous nieces and nephews she loved as her own children; and special lifetime friend, Carol Brittain.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Jerry, LeRoy, James Earl, and Edward Winchester; and sister, Wynona Owens.
