Virginia "Ginnie" Ogden

Virginia “Ginnie” Ogden of St. Charles, MO, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the age of 82. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Merriman Cemetery in Ranger, TX under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.

Ginnie was born May 27, 1933 in Eastland, TX to William and Eula Wright. She was a 1950 graduate of Eastland High School. Ginnie met and married Billie Joe Ogden, Jr., April 28, 1951 in Electra, TX and started a life of adventure with her military husband traveling to many exotic places during his military career. After Billie’s retirement, Ginnie and Billie settled in St. Charles, MO.

Ginnie was an active member of Oakridge Baptist Church of St. Peters for more than 40 years. She enjoyed bird watching and was an avid Cardinals fan, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and “adopted” family and friends.

Ginnie was the devoted mother of Ron Ogden of Woodinville, WA; cherished grandmother of Andrew Ogden of Seattle, WA, and Rebecca Ogden of Hollywood, CA; and dear sister of Nancy Trout of Eastland, TX, and Mary Jeffus of San Antonio, TX. Ginnie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Billie Joe Odgen, Jr., 3 precious children, Rebecca, Randy and Anna; her siblings, Jane Lenz, Norma Meroney, and Leon Wright; and her daughter-in-law, Wendy Ogden.
