Wanda June Davis, 88, peacefully passed from this life to the next on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2PM at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Edwards Funeral Home, 211 Pine prior to the service from Noon to 2PM.
Wanda June Drinkard was born on February 17, 1932 in Ranger. She graduated from Ranger High School. Wanda married Billy Wayne Davis on March 16, 1951 in Gray’s Harbor, Washington State. She went on to have a very successful career with the Corp of Engineers being excellent at processing data. It should be mentioned even in her advanced age June was extremely tech savvy, to the point she knew more about computers and gadgets then most of even the young people in her family.
June had a passion for gardening, needle work of all kinds, and painting. She was blessed with much artistic talent. Also, it should be mentioned that she enjoyed being a member of the Fort Worth Begonia Society.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Billy Wayne Davis; son, Michael Davis and wife, Kelly; daughter, Kathy Gibson and husband, Daniel; brothers, Arthur Dreinhofer and Fred Dreinhofer and wife, Jeannie; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, son, Lynn Marion Davis III; and a brother, Donald Drinkard.
