Their children attended Carbon Schools where Wanda was active in school events along with community events at Carbon and Kokomo. Many of the students called her “MiMi”, as did her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After Victor’s death in 1992, Wanda began her career as a People Greeter at Walmart. She enjoyed her time at Walmart for 11 years. She loved to talk and visit with each and every one who came through the doors.
Wanda attended the Primitive Baptist Church in Gorman, Cisco, and Cross Plains and truly loved and lived her life in the Lord.
