Weldon Hutchinson, 78, of Eastland, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 in Eastland. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the River of Life Church in Eastland with Rev. Jerry Maston officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Knox City Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 until 8:00 p.m.
Weldon was born on February 10, 1935 in Knox County to Charles Cleveland Hutchinson and Opal Leone (Branton) Hutchinson. He graduated from O’Brien High School. He married Lois Whisenhunt on November 18, 1974 in Taylor County. He was a truck driver and a Mason.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Charles Cleveland Hutchinson and his twin brother, Wayne Hutchinson.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Hutchinson of Eastland; 3 sons, Ricky Hibbitts and wife Sheila of Amarillo, Randy Hibbitts and wife Melissa of Hamlin, and Ronnie Hutchinson and wife Laurie of Carbon; 2 daughters, Darlene Roan and husband Robert of Eastland, and Tammy Campbell and husband Randy of Haskell; 2 sisters, Melba Pharr of Knox City, and Ila Kay Gross and husband George of Knox City; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
