Wilbert O. Boydstun

W.O. “Sonny” Boydstun, age 78, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 29, 2017. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 2PM at the Santo Community Center under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn.
Sonny was born January 17, 1939 in Ft. Worth, TX to Grover Cleveland and Opie Love Haygood Boydstun. On January 17, 1970, Sonny married Sallie Jo Sparks in Mineral Wells. In 1973 they moved to Santo, TX and made their life there. Sonny was a truck driver and drove for Dal-Tile in Dallas.
Sonny loved to go fishing and work in the garden. He also loved to work on the tractor and drive his truck and have coffee with his buddies. Sonny was a lifelong Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, and six brothers.
Sonny is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sallie Jo, one son; Danny Glen and wife Viola Boydstun, three daughters; Debbie and husband Jerry Edwards, Danita and husband Mark Ivy, and Michelle Chance, nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one fur-baby Bear all of Santo.
