Bill Fanning, 71, of Eastland, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Corinth Baptist Church.
Bill was born on October 16, 1943 in Richmond, CA to William Elba Fanning and Opal Lovenia (Maddux) Fanning. He married Virginia Reagan on June 9, 1961 in Ceres, CA. He was a truck driver for a grocery company in California before moving to Eastland. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; 2 daughters, Amber Carpenter and Jana Fanning; 1 sister, Dovie Koop; 2 grandchildren, Heather Hughes and William Carpenter; and 2 great-grandchildren, Hudson Hawk Hughes, and Izzabella Andreatta.
