William E. “Bill” Canner, 78, of Eastland, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 in Eastland. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. The family will receive friends Sunday, 5~7:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.
Bill was born September 8, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN to Joseph and Beulah (Willoughby) Canner. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 until 1958. He married Sybil Carleton on February 2, 1980 in Cisco. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Ruth Midkiff.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil; 3 sons, Dennis Canner, Marvin Dale Canner, and William J. Canner; a daughter, Brenda Farmer; 3 step-children, Michael Myers, Tracy Derick, and Janelle McElyea; a sister, Shirley Blanchard; and 7 grandchildren.
