Willie Rayburn Dickson

Willie Rayburn Dickson, 82, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 2:30 PM in the First United Methodist Church of Gordon. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home of Strawn on Friday from 6-8PM.
Rayburn was born on December 29, 1936 in Gordon, Texas to James McDuff Dickson and Lillie Patricia Holder Dickson. He married Bonnie Mae Schluter on December 29, 1958 in Rhome, Texas. He worked as a machinist for Bell Helicopter for 36 years until his retirement.
Mr. Dickson was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gordon and was a veteran of the United States Army having served from 1959-1961. He enjoyed riding his tractor, visiting with friends, and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 7 brothers and sisters, Lejune Dickson, Tommy Dickson, Albert Dickson, Norman Dickson, Jennie Dutra, Elenor Stockstill, and Johnnie Hanson.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Dickson; daughter, Lisa Henderson and husband, Troyce; brother, Albert Dickson, and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Mattie Barcus, Noah Dickson, Lillie Dickson, Jacob Henderson, Jasmine Stark, and Corey Henderson; great-grandchildren, Cody Henderson, Caitlyn Henderson, Gracie Thompson, and Tucker Sander.
Memorial donations can be made to the Gordon Fire Department.
Pallbearers were; Troyce Henderson, Jacob Henderson, Anthony Anders, Michael Anders, Albert Dickson, Jr., James Dickson, and Buddy Davis.
