Willie Carl Tipton

Willie Carl Tipton, 91 of Ranger went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. Services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, January 14th at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. A visitation will be Saturday, January 13th at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger from 6-8 P.M.
Willie was born November 2, 1926 to Adcur and Lura (Bird) Tipton in Coryell County, Texas. He married Hilda E. Eppler May 31, 1952 in Dallas, Texas. During World War II, he proudly served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946. After he was honorably discharged from the military, he worked for Lone Star Gas Company as a meter technician. He retired from Lone Star Gas Company after 40 years. He loved to travel, square dance with his lovely wife, and spend time with his family. He was a member of Grant Town Riding Club, and Boy Scouts.
Willie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Hilda Tipton; 3 children: Wendell, Sue and Tim Casey, and Scott and Donna; sisters: Reba Lawler, Rita Bee Perry, and Rudene Lee; 8 grandchildren: April and Jonathan, Ryan and Denise, Crystal and Brandy, Lindsey, Jayce, and Jonathan; 7 great-grandchildren, Ashlynn and Matt, Jessica, Ayden, Brandt, Kalynn, Wesley, and Hunter; and 1 soon-to-be great great-grandchild, Brynlee.
