Wilna Rexroat

Wilna Rexroat, 93, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Stephenville. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Gordon with Rev. Michael Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the New Gordon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn on Sunday from 3to 5:00 p.m.
Wilna was born January 7, 1919 in Gordon to Benjamin E. and Effie (Mayo) Sullivan. She married H. Darrel Rexroat on January 8, 1939 in Gordon. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1992. She was a medical Secretary for 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gordon and as a teen and young woman, she played the piano and her father was song leader. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Gordon.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Edwin D. Rexroat; a grandson, Jimmy Rexroat; and brother, Benjamin E. (J.R.) Sullivan, Jr. and wife Christian.
Survivors include 2 sons, Robert Rexroat & wife Jerrie of Mansfield and James O. Rexroat of Fort Worth; 2 daughters, Maurine Padgett & husband Don of Hurst and Doris Sizemore of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She touched the lives of many friends and relatives during her life, and will be missed by all who knew her.
