Zachary Shephard

Our beloved son, grandson, brother, fiance;, and friend, Zachary Dane Shephard (Zach), born on September 7, 1990, passed away on June 28, 2012 in an automobile accident. His passing comes as a shock and loss for all of us who know him. Zachary was 21 years young. Gone too soon, he leaves behind his fiance;e that he loved and adored - Brandi Skoug. His loving family celebrating his life are: Great-Grandmother: Emma Jean Cain, Grandparents: Charles and Irene Shephard, Parents: Mark and Beth Shephard and Barry and Roma Holley, Sisters: Raena Shephard and Michelle Wenner, Brothers: Cortland Shephard, Landen Holley and Tyler Holley and a niece, Kylia Shephard. Zachary has a large following of loved ones consisting of family and friends that we wish to acknowledge with our gratitude for the love they have shared not only for Zachary, but in support of the family.
Zach grew up mostly in Eastland, TX which is also where he called home. He attended elementary and middle school in Eastland and graduated from Eastland High School in 2009. Most recently he attended TSTC in Sweetwater, Texas and was within weeks of graduating with an Electronic Robotic Engineering Degree. Zach began his career in May 2012 working for Stellar Automation Inc. Engaged to Brandi Skoug, they were to be married on December 8th of this year. Zach was at a high point in his life and was very proud of where things were headed for him and his bride to be. All of us who know and love him could see the wonderful changes that began to take place in his life and were blessed by his zeal for life.
It is with great sorrow and loss that Zach has been taken too soon. There are many things that could be said but nothing can provide comfort more than knowing he was happy and successful in the eyes of all who knew and loved him. Zachary, you will be greatly missed and never forgotten. You made your Dad proud.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Daugherty Street Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Eastland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 4 - 6 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland. As published in the Brainworks Gazette.
